Children's Group
Children are an important part of our church. We have a strong commitment to being a community where children and their families feel valued and welcome. This is expressed through our children's participation in worship as well creating a safe and fun environment for them to grow in their own faith.
Our work with young people at Sunday Sunset is shaped by the question What qualities do we want to see in a young person at the end of 21 years of faith formation? We are shaping our response to this question around providing opportunities for the following characteristics to develop;
- Passionately Christian
- Biblically Literate
- Theologically and Morally Reflective
- Equipped for Ministry
- Mission and Evangelism focussed
- Practicing the disciplines of the Christian Life
Each week our children are encouraged to participate in our worship through engaging storytelling, lively music and prayer. During the school term children 3 years old to Grade 6 are invited to join in age appropriate supervised activities during the second half of our morning worship service.
To assist our parents with toddlers we provide a small activity area at the back of the worship space. This is helpful in allowing young parents to remain engaged in the worship.
