Our Community
We are a Christian community seeking to authentically live in relationship with God as revealed in the person of Jesus Christ. We seek to live, pray, sing, dance, learn and grow together in a way that makes present the Justice, Peace, Healing, Compassion and Love of God. We are committed to being a living example of the possibilities found in the love of God. We believe the hope revealed in the life of Christian communities, like Sunday Sunset, is the ultimate answer for our lives and world. A place were hurts are held, loved and healed. A place were full life is nurtured and celebrated.
Fresh Expression
We are seeking to be a fresh experience of church. We want to listen and respond to the communities needs and cries as well as providing vibrant and relevant worship.
‘It’s a huge responsibility to reach out in this area. It’s exciting too. What gives Sunday Sunset its value and flavour is that we are seeking to be a wholehearted member of the community and therefore we are listening to and engaging with it to find relevant and clear ways of expressing Good News.'
Growing Community
Sunday Sunset is set in the midst of one the fasting growing regions in all Australia. The Coomera district is booming with rapidly growing population and developments. The development of the Coomera Town centre is intended to provide a regional business, educational and recreational hub.
Growth is a key image of our Sunday Sunset community as symbolised our logo. We are committed to growth in our faith, growth in our serving, growth in our giving and growth in people.
Children
We have a particular concern for Children as vital and valuble members of this community. We seek to provide a vibrant, joyful and safe environment in which children might develop a sense of belonging. Our commitment extends to supporting families in their role in growing faithful and loving chidlren.
Gold Coast North Anglican Church
Sunday Sunset is a ministry of Gold Coast North Anglican Church. The Coomera Anglican precinct (including the Coomera Anglican College) is located in its geographical centre.
Gold Coast North Anglican Church comprises the northern most portion of the Gold Coast of South East Queensland, with its technical boundaries being the Gold Coast Highway (Brisbane Road) in the South, the Albert River in the North and the base of Tambourine Mountain in the west.
